A Breakdown of P-01-S
I figured it was high time for me to break down the playlist. This playlist is merely a reference list of musical works that gives a brief template that can be used or could be used as a possible manner as not all tracks are to be strictly taken for final products (scenes, dialog, symbolic representations or implications of actions being taken in the game).
Eugene Talbot - Tracks 1 through 5
Dr. Eugene Talbot and his daughter and avatar, Sarah Talbot are an ordinary Father-daughter family with the mother mysteriously not present as her whereabouts are not discussed or often put out of serious mention. This mystery prevades throughout the game's story and isn't pronounced in any obvious manner for upon close inspection would arise questions that would later then be addressed.
The manner for expressing this uneasy mystery is through easy going, easy listening music that always carry a coda or bars that contain atonal or sudden minor or diminished notes so as to demonstrate that there is something amiss. Something is not right.
The Tracks
Sonos &Polimnia - Tracks 6 through 10
After the period of which, to carry over from the original trilogy construct, of "The Ascension", Sonos and Polimnia have changed into what could be considered by audiences as "their true form and nature." This is reflected through the usage of heavy distorted guitar, electronic instrumentation, loud and violent percussion. To be simple: it's mostly industrial rock. The choice for industrial is to borrow extensively not just merely the late 1980s/1990s "all things alternative rock" musical aesthetics of the "extreme", "radical", and "gnarley", but capture the particular of the potential awesome power that is just underneath both Sonos and Polimnia; pure kinetic power kept under control by the pure will of the both Sonos and Polimnia.
This includes the potential to express something like the peternatural beauty that Polimnia is gifted with as with her changes along with her chnages that give her a slight uncomfortable change in her eyes with sometimes just Conjunctiva - the whites of her eyes and sometimes with a cornea showing, it her cornea has an illuminated amber color in the dark and sometimes during extreme demonstrations of power, goes into a "cosmic galactic purple" with some flame like shapes of light eminating form her eyes. So even when she's angry, only her eyes will reflect her emotions not her face. (Tracks 6, 8, and 10).
Sonos reflects his changes to being a slightly paler, long haired character that resembles a young Cedric Bixler-Zavala reference image and having similar galactic cosmic purple eyes when empowered but otherwise his appearance comes off as more seemingly normal by comparison to his daughter/avatar.
